Our Story
The Beginning
The story of Magnolia’s Kitchen begins with two people on two separate journeys whose paths eventually came together in the tiny majestic town of Boulder, Utah.
Our Story
Baby on the Way
With a new baby on the way, the decision was made to stay and create a life here. In 2014 Magnolia Grace Apperson was born and Magnolia's Street Food was established.
Our Story
The Bus Times
With our first kitchen, a 14ft' trailer, we started cooking food and making a name for ourselves. Three years later Magnolia's changed form to a 1993 aqua-colored Chevy Bluebird Bus and has been cooking seasonally 7 days a week.
Our Story
Made with Love, from Scratch
The intention was set with passions surrounding food: to provide our community and its visitors with a variety of delicious Street Foods.
Our Story
Local & Sustainable
We use ingredients from local gardens, farmers, and ranchers helping to preserve food culture, support our town, and protect our environment.
Our Story
Move to Escalante
Since those early beginnings, Magnolia's has moved to the nearby town of Escalante, surrounded by the beauty of the Grand Staircase National Monument.
Our Story
The Loubird Inn
In 2022, we purchased The Loubird Inn, a pioneered homestead in Escalante, Utah built in 1905. Our vision, the warm desert sunshine, a place where your cozy art inspired rooms await you after a long day of desert travels.

Magnolia Street Food was recommended by the waitress at dinner the night prior. Right away I was taken in by the owner's story of her relationship with her spice purveyors in India, and her imaginative use of the same. I wasn't disappointed!
